Protecting Your Joints on the Table
Arm wrestling is a sport of extreme leverage and tension. Tendons adapt much slower than muscles, making beginners susceptible to elbow, wrist, and shoulder strains. Following a strict safety protocol is key to long-term progress.
Tendon Conditioning & Recovery
Tendon recovery requires high-repetition, low-weight blood flow exercises. Using resistance bands for wrist extension, forearm rotations, and bicep curls speeds up joint repair. Rest 48-72 hours after heavy table practices.
Important Table Rules
Never look away from your hand during a match. Looking away aligns your humerus in a position that can cause a spiral fracture. Keep your eyes on your hand, keep your shoulder aligned with your arm, and pull safely.
